The RSDA is planning to offer the following training programmes. It is intended that all training will take place out of “season”, primarily in the first and last quarters of the year. 1. The Two Day Course is targeted at Technicians/Junior Engineers with responsibility for design, specification and/or supervision of surface dressing.
This course will cost £320 per delegate excluding VAT and accommodation. RSDA Members will receive a 20% discount. Each delegate is provided with a training pack, which includes the current edition of Road Note 39, the Association’s Code of Practice and our training video.

The One Day In-House Seminar is for the more experienced engineer. 3. A half-day Workshop targets experienced Engineers with the objective of introducing them to recent developments in technology and the amendments included in the 5th edition of Road Note 39. Again the content can be tailored to specific requirements but the following is suggested:- 13.30 – 13.40 Welcome & Introduction 13.40 – 14.00 RSDA Video “Designing for Performance” 14.00 – 14.30 Developments in Binder Technology 14.30 – 15.15 A Contractor’s View 15.15 – 15.30 Coffee 15.30 – 16.30 Open Session Discussion For the Open Session Discussion the RSDA would provide a panel of 3 lecturers to respond to questions from delegates under a Chairman provided by the client. The literature pack would be the same as for the one-day seminar and, on the basis that the client provides the venue and refreshments, the cost would be £1100 excluding VAT.
